Define the outcome
A Facebook post cannot reliably provide a native save-to-calendar action for every calendar provider. The useful outcome is one public event link that fits naturally into the post and gives visitors a clear route to save the event.
Create the event link
Enter the final title, date, time, time zone, location, and description in Add to Calendar Links. Treat the generated URL as the stable destination for the campaign rather than placing calendar-specific links directly in the social copy.
Publish clear social copy
Explain what happens after the click: visitors open the event page and choose their calendar. Keep essential date and time information in the Facebook post as well, so the message remains understandable before someone follows the link.
Verify the shared experience
Open the published post on mobile and desktop, follow the link, and save the event with several providers. If a team needs to update many events, collect registrations, or manage branded pages, use Add to Calendar PRO instead.
